So Ivy is 28 months old today and she has a new trick up her sleeve...she can open doors (or "doies" as she calls them)! She doesn't know how to twist it like you're supposed to yet, so she just wraps her hand around the handle sideways and pulls it until it opens...pretty smart little chickie. Now, guess how quickly I put a childproof lock on her bedroom doorknob. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that she's learning new tricks and becoming more independent. But I think naptime is great too. If she knew she could get out of her room, I don't think naptime would exist anymore...not to mention bedtime.
Another exciting thing for Ivy is that she's been using her potty more. We went through a lull where she wouldn't have anything to do with it. Or she'd sit there for a half hour, not go, then go when you put her pull-up back on. She has the best luck when she goes in there all by herself and makes us "stay right there"...can't blame her for not wanting an audience.
